Horses and riders who qualified through their cumulative
scores were selected to fill spots that were left when a previously-qualified
entrant finished in the top five more than once. Those replacements
finished three seasons with the highest overall scores without qualifying
in any season. For example, Mary Ann Rapp finished in the top five in
all three seasons, but is only allowed to take one spot at the WH Cup
Finals. Therefore, her second and third spots were filled by riders
with overall top scores.
The one go-round finals in Augusta will be a clean slate,
meaning that everyone begins with the same score and has one chance
to cut. Guaranteed payout in the Open is $150,000 and the Non-Pro is
$100,000.
